Originally from Long Island, NY, Alex graduated from Long Island University – C.W. Post with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education in 2003, and then with a Masters in Special Education in 2006.
Alex taught elementary grades in Long Island for four years before transitioning to the business world in marketing and sales. She helped build out the Long Island territory at Groupon, and worked in business development and sales for VenueBook, adding to their marketplace of venues in New York, Chicago, Washington, D.C. and San Francisco.
After moving to North Carolina and working with another edtech startup in the Triangle, Alex realized she wanted to continue working for students. Her passion for education drove her to get back into the education world on the business side – bringing programs that help students and teachers to as many schools as possible. And Centervention was a perfect fit.
Alex joined Centervention in April 2018. When she’s not talking to one of you on LiveChat, you might find her watching reality TV, rooting for the Patriots, or hanging out with her husband, son, and daughter.
