Unlike traditional, one-size-fits-all SEL curriculum, our social emotional learning programs are personalized for each student.
These SEL interventions are fun for students, automatically gather data so you can monitor progress, and include no-prep, supplemental lessons to reinforce digital learning.
Research and Evidence-Based
We know that science matters, and our programs are research and evidence-based — These programs are proven to accurately measure SEL competencies and to improve SEL outcomes.
You can read more about the studies specific to our programs and also broader SEL industry studies on our supporting research page.
Progress Monitoring and Assessment Reports
From your educator dashboard, you can get a snapshot of student progress, monitor usage, and get formative assessment reports.
With this data, you can assist each student in working towards mastery and create small groups to focus on the skills that need the most improvement.
Open-and-Go Supplemental Worksheets
We provide free supplemental activities, lesson plans, and printables that correspond to the SEL skills taught in the online curriculum.
We encourage you to use these resources to reinforce the skills students are learning online, and we will send you a weekly email to let you know about new resources we add to our library.
How To Use Our Programs
Our online SEL interactive stories are developmentally appropriate for students in grades K – 8. And each program typically takes a semester or two for students to complete and master.
After logging into your educator account, create an account for each student, and assign them to one of the five programs. Don’t worry. This only takes about 30 seconds per student.
When your students log in, they first create a personalized avatar to represent them within the game, and then they begin playing and learning. Each student’s path through the story will be different based on their choices and how they respond to other students.
We recommend that students play for about 20 or 30 minutes per session and to play once or twice a week. At this rate, and after replaying some scenes, they should complete the program over the course of a semester or the school year.
Centervention licenses are $12 per student, and with a license, students can use any of our programs for 12 months.
You can learn more about volume discounts on our purchasing page.

Centervention Programs: For Students in Grades K-8
Zoo Academy: Grades K-1
Your youngest learners will explore the basics of social emotional skills by progressing their way through a fictional school called Zoo Academy.
They are guided by adult characters including Principal Howard and their teacher, Ms. Castillo, and they will assist in helping a group of new classmates (baby animals) learn appropriate behavior and self-regulation.
In total, Zoo Academy includes eighteen unique lessons, and these lessons can be replayed until the student achieves mastery.
Zoo U: Grades 2-4
In Zoo U, students continue their social emotional developmental journey in common school-based scenarios.
Like Zoo Academy, the first six scenes are focused on skill assessment, and the remaining scenes help the student build skills.
In total Zoo U includes 36 unique lessons.
Regardless of their starting point, all students can progress at their own pace and learning ability to achieve mastery.
SS GRIN: Grades 3-5
In Adventures Aboard the S.S. GRIN, students are challenged to assist the residents of Pacifico Island by helping them restore friendship by joining the SS GRIN crew.
Along the way, students will complete nine immersive scenes and learn: Respect, Think Ahead, Taking Responsibility, Communication, Check it Out, Building Friendships, and Cooperation.
Hall of Heroes: Middle School
With the new-found independence of middle school, many students experience additional stress and anxiety. You may have students that find the stress overwhelming: they have difficulty making and keeping friends, have challenges working in teams, or show extreme reactions to trivial problems.
In Hall of Heroes, students enroll in a superhero middle school where they must build their powers and skills to make friends, resist peer pressure, and save the school from supervillain Dr. Klepto. In addition, students improve middle school readiness skills, such as locker combinations and getting to class on time.
By building their skills as the story unfolds, they become more confident when they encounter similar challenges in real-world situations.
Stories in Motion: Autism
With our online, interactive program, Stories in Motion, students with ASD create personalized social narratives around common school scenarios.
Students create a character to represent them in these stories, then choose from twelve different topics to create a personalized narrative using dialogue and thought options. These topics include anxiety, bullying, cooperating, coping, friendship, joining in, listening, personal space, perspective taking, sportsmanship, stop and think, and transitions.
With each lesson, students receive a printable comic book that reflects the unique choices they made while playing.
